Three sources are available Harrison, Davidson, API..But
I used only George Mathews..I would suggest to go for George Mathews only
because book is very easy to understand and retain unlike other. But
medicine is most important so do refer to other books if needed
2. Pediatrics:
Immunization, Baby friendly hospital, congenital
cyanotic heart disease, respiratory distress syndrome, broncho -
pneumonias, kernicterus. IMNCI classification and management, PEM grading
and management. ARI and Diarrhea of under five and their management.- O.P.Ghai

Psoriasis, Allergic dermatitis, scabies, eczema,

Skin is asked for about 60 marks and i found Uday
khopkars skin book is very useful but not sufficient. so in my third
attempt i refered to one of the post graduate book written by dermatologist
association. I would suggest to get xerox of syllabus topic from any of the
postgraduate skin book
4. General Surgery:
Clinical features, causes, diagnosis and principles of
management of cleft palate, harelip.
Laryngeal tumor, oral and esophageal tumors.
Peripheral arterial diseases, varicose veins,
coarctation of aorta
Tumors of Thyroid, Adrenal Glands
Abscess, cancer, fibroadenoma and adenosis of breast.
Bleeding peptic ulcer, tuberculosis of bowel, ulcerative
colitis, cancer stomach.
Renal mass,cancer Prostate..
Haemothorax, stones of Gall bladder, Kidney, Ureter and
Urinary Bladder.
Management of surgical conditions of Rectum, Anus and
Anal canal, Gall bladder and Bile ducts

Only Manipals surgery book is needed. and i feel there
is no need to read any other book

Management of abnormal lie and difficult labour, Management of small for
date or premature newborn.
